Formerly a private residence, the Blossoms Hotel is a Georgian town house property, dating from 1837. Due to the traditional layout of the building, all 16 rooms vary in size and layout; indeed some of the best rooms are in the third floor attic. There are twin, double and family/group rooms. The family/group rooms have at least one double bed and one single bed or bunks. Some of these rooms can accommodate up to 6 people. The hotel’s cellar bar, with its attractive exposed brickwork, serves a range of drinks in the early evening, including local beers from the York Brewery and a selection of fine wines. Breakfasts are all cooked freshly to order, using local produce – such as hand made sausages and free range eggs – where possible. The hotel also offers complimentary parking and free WIFI, with a computer available for guests’ use (no charge).
